Len Baker '64, Chip Brennan '64, and Chip Levengood '64 featured in President Salovey’s leadership conference call

August 10, 2016

During President Salovey’s Leadership Conference Call on August 10, three 1964 classmates were singled out either for new responsibilities or timely questions.

Along with two other alumni, Len Baker has been appointed to a new “Committee on Naming” to develop principles for the consideration of naming and renaming Yale buildings.

Chip Brennan was called on for his question about the initiative by the Connecticut Legislature to tax Yale buildings.  President Salovey indicated that Yale would offer stiff resistance to this initiative.

Chip Levengood was called on for his question about the approach toward foundational texts in the Yale curriculum.  President Salovey affirmed that the Yale faculty will continue to be the arbiter of curriculum resources with strong emphasis on foundational texts.

It was nice to see these classmates cited and/or included in the call.
