Good article, Cates.  I have come to believe that abortion is a "non-convergent problem" — the harder people go at it with conventional methods, the more contentious and difficult to consider the problem becomes. (It may be good for exposing the behavior of politicians in debates and bringing out aspects of abortions, but only that.)

Such non-convergent problems, I believe, should be considered on a case-by-case basis with higher order tools: compassion, sympathy, kindness, empathy ...

Looking  forward to the 50th.
