Reminder: Rick Hatton ’64 on “Wildfire Containment
and Suppression From the Air”

January 9, 2025

Classmates and friends:

The next Class of 1964 Zoom event will occur in two weeks, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4:00pm - 5:30pm eastern time. The topic will be “Wildfire Containment and Suppression from the Air.” Our speaker will be our classmate Rick Hatton ’64. The program will be moderated by Sam Callaway ’64. This topic is particularly relevant at the moment in view of the multiple wildfires threatening Los Angeles as gusts to hurricane force fan the flames.

Registration for the event is required. You may have already registered for this event in response to my email of November 26, 2024, but if you're not sure, it doesn't hurt to register again. Register for the event by clicking on the following link:

Register by clicking here.

You will receive a confirmation email with a link to the meeting. You'll also receive a link reminder on the morning of the meeting.

As a preview of Rick’s talk, you can view his five-minute talk given at our 55th Reunion.

At Yale, Rick opted for NROTC and upon graduation was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marines, where he became a Marine fighter pilot and served in Southeast Asia. In addition to founding 10 Tanker Air Carrier in 2002, Rick has held executive positions at GATX, Air Services International, and the Flying Tiger Line.  He has served on the boards of Aloha Airlines, Hiller Aviation, and Sacred Heart Prep. He holds an MS in aviation management from USC and an MBA from Wharton.

Please mark your calendars, and don't forget to register!

Cheers,

Joe Wishcamper ’64
