1964 Class Council renews support for URI summer intern

With a motion from Chris Getman, at its annual meeting on February 19, 2022, the 1964 Class Council authorized an annual contribution to Urban Resources Initiative (URI) for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the amount of $8,000 to subsidize one Yale student intern for the 2022 summer.

At the direction of Colleen Murphy-Dunning, the summer intern will produce a video report of his/her 2022 summer internship, like this report in 2021.

The Yale Class of 1964 awards a 2021-22 URI Internship Subsidy in memory of our classmate, Strachan Donnelley (1942-2008), a philanthropist and philosopher, who made a lifelong study of the intricate relationships between humans and nature in pursuit of a conservation-centered concept he called “democratic ecological citizenship.”
