A retired Foreign Service officer, James W. Eighme, Jr. died at home in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 31, 2015 of leukemia.
He will be remembered for his keen intelligence, broad interests, modesty, generosity, and uncommon decency.
He is survived by his mother, Anne Street Eighme; sister, Louise Eighme Turner; brother-in-law, John H. Turner; nephew, William B. DuVall III; nieces, Jeannine R. Turner and Alison T. Harris.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 30 at DACOR Bacon House Foundation, 1801 F Street N.W., Washington, DC at 11 a.m.
