Services were Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church, Palatine, followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, for Russell C. Walter, Sr., 50. The 20-year resident of Barrington died Feb. 20, 1993.

At the time of his death, Mr. Walter was an investor and partner of Omega Advisors of New York. Born Nov. 14, 1942 in New Haven, Conn., he was a 1964 graduate of Yale University and earned his master's degree in business from Stanford University in 1966.

In addition to his wife, Katherine, he is survived by two daughters, Amy Elizabeth of Washington, D.C.; Lori Kathleen of Colorado; and a son, Russell C. Walter Jr. of Barrington. Also surviving is his sister, Jacqueline Walter of Schaumburg.
