Walter Dennis "Wally" Wilkey
August 7, 1942 – January 5, 2007
Wally Wilkey came to Yale from New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL. He was an economics major, and member of Dwight Hall. After Yale, he studied at the University of Chicago School of Economics. Subsequently he changed careers, moving to the University of Illinois veterinary school.
Wally met his wife Sharon at Illinois, where he formed many of his adult friendships. He became a veterinarian, based in Oak Park, IL, maintaining an active interest in horse racing, where much of his practice was focused. He died while awaiting a liver transplant.
