Sam, great follow-up: THANKS!

As we get more into the "quantum" era, as distinguished from the current "digital" one, I believe mankind will be saying goodbye to its current biological framework, and move towards complete "hardware-ization" of body, mind, and "soul." That should vastly improve "mankind's" ability to travel anywhere it wants and thereby survive almost up to the complete dissipation of all matter/energy  in this universe, many trillions of years hence.

I guess, since I don't mind leaving this "biological framework" behind, that makes me an optimist. :)
