Phil Anderson ’64 — TV concert on Dec. 12 by “Vocal Majority”
October 25, 2020
Phil Anderson, an avid lifelong singer, announced a special TV concert, “The Secret of Christmas,” on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm CST. Phil wrote:
This is my chorus. The Vocal Majority will present a live streaming Christmas performance on December 12. It will be a free broadcast, worldwide. I would invite my Yale classmates to tune in and enjoy one of the great passions in my life going back to 1976.
Unfortunately, since COVID-19 hit, my rehearsing opportunities have been almost eliminated and my age is beginning to affect my voice. While deeply disappointing, I am so very thankful for the almost fifty years I have enjoyed my vocal opportunities in Dallas, a gift I never imagined when I left New Haven. Like with everything else, it is important to be thankful for all our gifts and blessings. With continuing health, the blessing of having been born in this country, and the years of being able to serve so many students, I look forward to what else my life might bring.
You must register in advance to access to this free show. Doing this keeps us compliant with all of the US copyright laws for song performance. There will only be two performances. It will not be repeated.
The Vocal Majority presents "The Secret of Christmas," their 2020 virtual Christmas show, as their gift to the world. Information and registration are available at Vocal Majority.
