Chris Getman ’64 carries on Strachan Donnelley tradition
November 15, 2020

Many 1964 classmates remember that Strachan Donnelley (1942-2008) founded the Center for Humans & Nature in 2003. As a board member of the Center, Chris Getman carries on Strachan’s commitment to this organization and its mission. Chris recently recalled: “For many years, Strachan was president of the Hastings Center. He created ‘Humans & Nature’ under its aegis. It gained so much momentum that Strachan spun it off as a separate organization and led it until his untimely death. Strachan was wise, thoughtful, and practical.”

As a class, we have also carried on Strachan’s commitment by naming our annual gift to Urban Resources Initiative in his memory.
