Don Edwards ’64’s family extends its Yale legacy to six generations

After Yale acceptances went out this year, Don Edwards wrote: “I’m happy to report that a third Edwards generation will enter Yale this fall. Our grandson Charlie Edwards was admitted to the Class of 2026 Here’s Charlie, age 12, in the only shirt he ever wanted to wear!

“Charlie is joining his father David and his mother Diana Montgomery (both ’93), Aunt Jenny Chavira (’89), grandfather Don (’64) and grandmother Sally (’64 MAT), and grandfather George Montgomery (’55). Thanks to Sally’s ancestral line, Charlie is a sixth generation Yalie, going back to Class of 1876. We’re thrilled, of course, to have him nearby for the next four years.”
