Edward Massey ’64 kicks off “Class of 1964 Authors Book Club”

Following months of working with a small committee of Class Council members, Edward Massey announced the pilot event, “Class of 1964 Book Club,” via Zoom on May 27, 2021. His “reward” for launching the series is to be its first guest author with his recent book, Founding Sheriff.

Jan Truebner, a fan of book clubs for years, will be the moderator. Edward said: This is a new venture for us, so we’ll be flexible in our approach. I see three elements:

1. The story
2. The story behind the story
3. The writing process itself

As with most book clubs, you’ll get more out of the 90-minute event by reading the book in advance, but it’s not required. There will be plenty of time for Q&A. Registration for this free event will be sent via email on March 22. In the future, we plan to have two Book Clubs per year, so the one after Massey’s will be in the second quarter of 2022. Let us know which books by classmates you’d like to see included.
