February 17, 2021
Tony Lavely, ’64 Class Secretary, reports:
Owen O’Donnell, who regularly hosts monthly Zoom calls for classmates in the Northern California area, tried a new hosting technique on February 17. It worked beautifully. In the Zoom invitation, Owen asked classmates to share their answers to “What brought you to California and why did you stay?”
- Mike Sherwood talked about his work with environmental groups;
- Mike Brodsky worked for a time on Native American reservations;
- Tom Morrison got involved in venture capital;
- Ray Haas migrated from Texas;
- Chip Nielsen started in New England;
- Sandy McKleroy got involved with spiritual work;
- Tom Barton fell in love with Silicon Valley;
- Ron Sipherd captures the beauty of the area in photographs;
- Steve Bingham was a true Berkeley guy, exiled for a while;
- Russell Sunshine reflects on life in his blog
- Bob Archer got very involved with Climate Change;
- Owen O’Donnell told a great Santa Claus story.
The personal stories were wonderful. I wish I had taken better notes.
