Class Notes
September/October 2005
by Tony Lavely
Class news during the summer has been sparse, but I report what we have
received.
Doane Perry wrote that Mike Price's art gallery was on the cover of the
Boston Globe Calendar for June 16 - 22: "Sun and Shadow. Spanish painter
Eva Navarro exhibiting at MPG Contemporary."
Jeremy Wood reported that there was a large contingent of classmates at the
Andover 1960 45th Reunion: Tony Lee and Wally Winter served as reunion
organizers. Nick Danforth led a fascinating panel on "Fathers & Sons."
Sheldon Leader won the distance prize, coming from England. Dorsey Gardner and Laird Smith returned to Andover for their first reunion. We'll look for
all of these classmates at our 45th class reunion, being chaired by Waldo
Johnston.
Bob Sexton continues to lead the Prichard Committee for Academic Excellence.
He wrote an excellent piece in their newsletter, Perspectives, entitled
"High Schools Out of Date, Failing to Prepare Students."
Crossover classmate Dick Niglio attended the 1965 40th reunion in June,
with brother, Jay.
Please check our class web site (www.yale64.org) ― so ably maintained by Sam
Francis ― for news on a more regular basis, and please
e-mail me directly with any items for
the next issue of Class Notes.
