Charles Mark Furcolo of Wellesley, MA passed away on December 16, 2021, at the age of 81. Born on September 10, 1940, Mark was the eldest child of Kathryn (Foran) Furcolo and former Massachusetts Governor Foster Furcolo. Mark was a graduate of Yale University (1964) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (1967).

Early in his career he served as an Assistant Attorney General for The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, arguing appellate cases in the Massachusetts state and federal courts. Mark also served as Assistant District Attorney for the Suffolk Courts. Most of his legal career was spent as a civil trial lawyer and partner at the Boston law firm of Burns & Levinson.

His greatest joy in life was raising and caring for his six children. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who will be remembered for his kindness and love.

Mark is survived by his children, Tara (Furcolo) Bresnahan of Gloucester, MA, A. Nicole (Furcolo) Reimers of Highlands Ranch, CO, Christopher Furcolo of Groton, MA, Charles C. Furcolo of Corte Madera, CA, Katherine Furcolo of Tewksbury, MA, and Zachary Furcolo of San Francisco, CA; and his seven grandchildren, Emily Bresnahan, Sam Bresnahan, Anna Reimers, Audrey Reimers, Hailey Furcolo, Kylie Furcolo, and Teddy Furcolo. Mark is also survived by three siblings, Foster Furcolo, Jr. of Coronado, CA, Richard Furcolo of Chevy Chase, MD, and Kathryn Furcolo. He was predeceased by his brother David and his parents.

Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16), Wellesley, MA on Tuesday, December 21 from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Wellesley Village Congregational Church, 2 Central St., Wellesley on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 11am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Private Interment for immediate family only in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kathryn F.
