Thein "Eddie" Swe

Thein "Eddie" Swe was born in Pegu, Burma, according to his funeral home guestbook. He attended Yale with the class of 1964 and roomed in Calhoun College. He did not appear in the 1964 Class Book published at graduation, but did appear in subsequent reunion class books, which provided only his contact information. No further information is available beyond the following obituary.

DR. EDWARD MICHAEL THEIN SWE

On Tuesday, November 8, 2011 of Bethesda, MD. Loving father of Kimberley and Adam Gorman, Leslie and Ronald Smith and Alexandra Swe; partner of Patricia Williams Haas; grandfather of Anne Kenlie, Spencer Edward Gorman, Kendall Brooke and Aaron Edward Smith; brother of Frederick and Gary Swe. Preceded in death by his parents, Min Swe and Thein Shin and his sister, Sylvia. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at St. John's Norwood Parish Church, 6701 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Yale Alumni Fund, Yale University, Office of Development, Contribution Processing, P.O. Box 2038, New Haven, CT 06521-2038.
